On May 2, 2008 Hubby had to work that Friday even though it was his day off. Not only was he working but he worked later than normal. He had a huge dinner to prepare and serve that night. He works at the local college as a chef. He went in at 9 and didn't come home until 11:30 earlier than I thought he would. What he had brought home was just amazing and unexpected. I am not sure why this all underlined and have no idea how to undo it. So anyways...he brought home a book of art from a famous artist who was the guest speaker at the dinner. Yankel Ginzburg. Below are just 2 of my favorite pieces from the book. Though I have to say my scanner did not do them any justice.I gave up trying to write above the pictures since it was all underlined and I didn't care for that. The black in the first one....is not any where near the blackness in the book. The really cool part is that in the pictures Yankel painted ladders in them. It's just so cool that I could not bring myself to keep it to myself! The second one is actually done on wood. Totally amazing. From reading the back of the book I learned that the ladders symbol optimism. And that in each of his peices he has some sort of symbol in them all. The book has a collection of the ladder pieces. If you enjoy these 2 as much as I do I may share more! Amazing!
PS...If anyone out there knows how to undo the underlining above the pictures....would you share that with me?
PSS After hitting the publish button I see the underlining is not there in the post. However for some reason the top paragraph is linked up and I'm not sure why so just ignore the linkage..thanks!
