If only I had a laptop

Yesterday after the kids got home from school (they are in summer school) I started suffering from pain in my belly on the left side under my rib cage. I took some motrin hoping it would go away. It felt like someone was kicking me in the gut. I was able to deal with the pain for the most part until after dinner. I ended up on the couch unable to move because each time I moved the pain would sear through my body. The kids all thought this was funny...mostly Sam though. No not because I was in pain but because I could not get up off the couch no matter what he did. And Sam tested me and my pain tolerance to the max. He would come up give me a hug so he could grab the remote from me and then run away with it. Then come back stand just out of my way and turn the channel. The whole time laughing and teasing me Na Na Boo Boo Na na bo boo. Another one he tried to do was stand out of my reach and throw a car at me. I warned him after the first time because when I tried to sit up the pain would get worse...felt like I was being cut from the inside out with a double edged sword. He looked at me smiled and put his hands up to his cheeks to further tease me. He tried to run from me but instead came at me so I was able to grab his arm and gave him a swat on his rear and told him not to throw things. Yep that's right I spank when I feel it's needed. He got up and ran back upstairs teasing me somemore. Na na boo boo na na boo boo. When hubby got home I took more motrin and went to lay in bed for awhile hoping it would help. All it did was send me to the ER for the pain because there was no way I would be able to deal with it anymore.
Of course I forgot my iPod at home since it was dead. I had planned to charge it up all day but just never got around to it. I had to listen to someone complain on her cell phone how bad her back was hurting from an injury she got last month. If there was ever a time I wish I had a laptop it was last night in the ER. I had stories running through my head the whole time until I got a dose of Morphene. The doctor didn't realize how bad the pain was for me until he asked me to sit up so he could listen to my chest. Body language spoke for itself and he replied "It hurts that bad?? Get her some Morphene. Could you be pregnant? Nope because for the 100th time in the last hour I have told the nurses and you when you first came in I had my tubes tied when you asked if I had any surgeries in the last 10 years. I told you I had to c sections and with the last c section I had my tubes tied. They still took a pregnancy test to be safe and it came back negative. I got the morphene 1 hour and 10 mins after it was ordered.
After peeing in a cup, some blood work and a cat scan they still don't know the real cause of my pain. They know 1. I'm in alot of pain more than they thought I was in 2. My white blood cell count is through the roof. 3. I have a nice size cyst on my right ovary (note pain on the left) and 3. I have a cyst growing on my adominal wall on the left, lower than where the pain is. I have antibiotics to take. I'm still feeling the effects of morphine. And I have some vicadin (sp?) to help with the pain until I see my doctor tomarrow for further testing. The left cyst has the ER doctor worried. At last though he can't do any further testing to figure out what it. 6 hours later I was able to come back home.

H.E.Eigler: My kids really think they are funny though I do have to admit that I was smiling at his antics as it really helped deal with the pain. Hopefully we can get this figured out soon! Thanks so much for stopping in!
